THE HAZARDS OF MEDICAL TOURISM
A British woman has received compensation from her credit card issuer for a breast implant that exploded. The woman traveled twice to a clinic in Tunisia that she found on the Internet -- once for the initial surgery and once for follow-up surgery to correct the implants' uneven appearance. She said the staff at the clinic seemed more interested in getting payment than in giving care, and that going to the clinic was one of the worst mistakes of her life.
